This Tuesday Nigeria's Super Falcons lost to the US in the Group D tournament of the FIFA Women's World Cup.

The US and Nigeria put up a strong defense, with no team scoring at the 45 minute mark.

Abby Wambach scored a goal just seconds before halftime point earning the US a 1-0 lead over Nigeria.

Asisat Oshoala nearly propelled the Falcons to tie with the US, but Julie Johnson frustrated her attempt.
