A source from a local Vigilante Group told SaharaReporters that Boko Haram arrived at the village driving motorcycles and utility vehicles.

"We have counted 29 bodies shot dead. Hundreds of homes were burnt down in our village; we were helpless when attackers arrived at around 1pm. They stayed for hours,'' the Vigilante member said.

Borno State, which was the birthplace of Boko Haram, has suffered more than any other State because of the terrorist group.

At least 165 people have been murdered this week in Borno State during a series of Boko Haram attacks. It is estimated that more than 300 civilians have been murdered since President Buhari was inaugurated as President and promised to end the insurgency.
