According to Mr. Kpodo, independent investigations by members of the APC in the State found that Mr. Sylva has deceitfully promised nine governorship aspirants a place on the governor or deputy governor ticket for the APC.

Mr. Kpodo, while speaking with newsmen in Yenagoa, said, "the deceit and insincere attitude of Chief Timipre Sylva has come to bear within the Party again. He has started promising people governorship tickets and deputy slots. These promises were made to the aspirants without the knowledge that he was running for the same seat."

"Investigations have shown that Tiwei Orunimigha have joined forces with his master and have started threatening those delegates how to vote during the forthcoming Party primaries in the State. We call on the National Leadership of the Party to investigate and allow a free and balanced race," he added.
