Governor Dickson’s Political Adviser Kidnapped In Bayelsa State

Gunmen have reportedly abducted Wilson Fyneman, the political adviser to Bayelsa State Governor Seriake Dickson, from his residence in Sagbama along with his personal assistant.

Confirming the latest kidnapping incident, Bayelsa State Police command spokesman Asinim Butswat said the “political adviser and his personal assistant were whisked away in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.”

"On Wednesday, at about 4am, five unknown gunmen entered the residence of Honorable Wilson Fyneman in Sagbama Town,” according to Mr. Butswat.

Bayelsa State has the highest density of kidnapping cases in Nigeria, political ‎watchdog groups say it may increase as the State approaches gubernatorial elections in December of this year.
