SaharaReporters reported earlier that multiple blasts occurred in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, this evening. However, it has since been learned that military in the area attempted to cover up this by declaring that military exercises were the cause of these blasts.
Our SaharaReporters correspondent first learned that several blasts occurred in the Dalla area of Maiduguri between 7:27 and 7:31 pm, which caused quite a panic for the residents in the area.
A resident in the area said one of the blasts was caused by a female suicide bomber. The number of injured and dead could not be ascertained at the time of publishing this report.
