Boko Haram Suicide Bombers Kill 18, Injures 8 In Yobe

‎At least 18 people have been confirmed killed in multiple blasts that rocked Damaturu, the Yobe state capital this morning, police said.

Yobe state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Toyin Gbadegesin told journalists that 18 people killed and 8 others suffered critical injuries. 

Multiple suicide bombers suspected to be Boko Haram militants detonated at Buhari and Zakariah housing estates in Damaturu, the Yobe state capital at about 6.05am and 6:12 am respectively.

"18 dead bodies have been evacuated from the scene, and a total of 8 people were injured, adding that the injured ones are currently receiving treatment at a public hospital in the state.'' ASP. Toyin Gbadegesin confirmed.

Boko Haram militants have increased their attacks in Nigeria including a series of bombing in the country's capital  Abuja last week.
