The ruling, delivered by Justice Henry Olusiyi, stated that Mr. Isiaka failed to prove beyond reasonable doubt the claims made in the PDP’s petition. Justice Olusiyi stated in the tribunal that “the case is hereby dismissed for lack of merit.”

The PDP alleged that widespread polling irregularities and electoral malpractices in nine Local Government Areas (LGAs) required that the results in those areas be cancelled, and rerun elections be administered.

This ruling returned the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Ibikunle Amosun as the Governor of Ogun State.
