At least three people have been killed and a female suicide bomber apprehended in a fresh attack on a village on the outskirts of Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State today, a local vigilante said.
A loud explosion was heard in the city of Maiduguri at 7:47 am this morning when a female suicide bomber detonated IEDs at Dala Yazaye village in Borno State, killing at least three people including the bomber and another female teenager was arrested.
A member of Volunteers Youths Vanguard, Baba Kashim told SaharaReporters that three people were killed, and four others were injured in the latest attack.
''She succeeded killing two villagers besides herself, and four were injured, we have taken them to state specialist Hospital in Maiduguri, '' Baba Kashim said.
Dala Yazaye is about three kilometres from Maiduguri the Borno State capital where a suicide bomber killed scores in an early morning attack on the mosque.
A hospital source confirmed the casualties.
