Oshiomhole Sacks Chairman Of Edo State Petroleum Monitoring Committee

November 17, 2015

Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole sacked the Chairman of the State Petroleum Monitoring Committee, Mr. Soni Idahagbon, citing Mr. Idahagbon’s negligence and dereliction of duty.

In addition to the Chairman, several other committee members were also suspended.  Governor Oshiomhole warned all petroleum dealers that their land will be confiscated if they refuse to sell fuel at the mandated price.

It will be recalled that on Monday, SaharaReporters published a report on the ongoing fuel scarcity crisis affecting Nigeria.  Governor Oshiomhole has also been the target of half nude protests in his State for his poor leadership, according to demonstrators.
