The presiding judge, Justice Huseini Yusuf, ruled in favor of Ahmed Gulak who alleged that Mr. Secondus was holding the Chairmanship illegally. Mr. Secondus was ordered to vacate the office within two weeks to Mr. Gulak or another politician from the northeast.

Mr. Gulak argued that based off of the zoning principal and the PDP’s constitution he was the legitimate person to hold that position.

When contacted by SaharaReporters, the Publicity Secretary for the PDP, Olisa Metuh, said that the Party will not be able to announce an official position on this development until Friday when leaders had the chance to discuss the issue.
