A mysterious fire today gutted a dormitory of a boys secondary school in Kwankwaso, in Madobi Local Government of Kano State.

There were no casualties, and normal activities have since resumed.
The affected hostel was a single-storey building, and only the upper floor of the block, which had eight rooms, was burnt.
The Special Adviser to the State Governor, Dr. Bakari Ado Hussaini, said the fire started at about 8a.m. while students were in class.
