A LEADER AND HIS PEOPLE

January 5, 2016

Corruption: a plague Saraki and his breed personify is a Human Rights Violation; the Sarakis’ who are directly in charge of the Common wealth of Kwarans (and now a vital section of the Central government) by misappropriating and stealing these common wealth and resources in buying these bullet proof cars, houses and stakes in major companies world over interfere with the right of the people to having these common wealth put to the common good of all thereby increasing poverty and frustrating socio- economic development this way, they keep the people beggarly poor and dependent on them for easy manipulation towards actualizing their selfish interest an example of the resultant effect is the annual stampedes where tens of people die either at ‘’ile loke’’ or Mandate house while struggling for ‘’yards of wrapper and bons’’. conversely, by stealing and stashing these monies abroad, the sarakis’ encourage capital flight, such funds are then invested in the economies of these already developed countries who then give to us these funds as loans, loans that would again be stolen and taken back in a continuous vicious circle. That way, our development is undermined and hopes of long- term growth, development and prosperity of our people a chimera.

                                                                           A LEADER AND HIS PEOPLE

Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS), was born on the 19th day of December, 1962.He is the first child of late Abubakar olusola Saraki, the strong man of Kwara politics (as he then was).

Bukola Saraki attended king’s college Lagos from 1973-1978 and then proceeded to Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, London from 1979- 1981 for his High School Certificate and then obtained his MBBS (London) from the London Hospital Medical College, of the University of London between 1982- 1987.

Saraki worked as a low cadre Medical Officer at Rush Green Hospital, Essex from 1988 to 1989 and had to return home barely a year on, principally in search of ‘’greener pastures’’.

The avariciously greedy Saraki who’s father and step-mother Florence owned controlling shares in Societal General Bank (SGBN) became an Executive Director at the Bank and only needed about a decade (1990- 2000) to run the promising bank aground through outright massive stealing spree and series of fraudulent schemes by taking out loans and bribing bank officials not to collect on those loans in collaboration with accomplices such as Kenneth Izuagbe and others a crime that fetched them far over three billion naira according to the EFCC.

President Olusegun Obasanjo had the misfortune of appointing ABS his special Adviser on Budget in the year 2000 and had to hurriedly purge himself of the insatiably avaricious Saraki same year.

Sequel to the political fallout between the senior Saraki and his political son- Rear Admiral Mohammed Lawal Rtd., Oloye Olusola Saraki decided it was time ‘’to have his own installed’’ governor and thus Saraki Jr. was officially installed the ‘’Arole Oloye’’; that is elected Governor of Kwara state from 2003- 2007 and then re- elected Governor from 2007- 2011. Saraki filed his ‘’pre- emptive’’ Declaration of Assets Forms on the 12th of May, 2003 (17 days before inauguration) wherein his declared total wealth was put at 10.2 billion naira.

Investigations conducted by the Special Fraud Unit of the Nigeria Police and authored by the Chief Superintendent of Police for Anti- Money Laundering revealed that between May 2009 and May 2011, ABS deposited at least 4.5 million dollars into his dollar accounts and over 5 million dollars into one of his accounts with Zenith Bank during his time as Governor of Kwara State.

On the 29th December, 2010, the rubber stamp Kwara State House of Assembly passed into law a bill entitling ABS to scandalous and outrageous pension benefits which the  SSG tacitly admitted is far more that of an average permanent Secretary that had spent over 30 years in fruitful service to the public. In keeping with the spirit and letters of this obnoxious pension Law, a mansion- ‘’pension house’’ was built for the emperor at No. A1, Museum Street, GRA, Ilorin after he had earlier turned down the mansion initially built for him at Abdulkadir Road, GRA Ilorin and demanded its equivalent in cash only to turn around and claim the house after receiving the ‘alert’ of the cash demanded.

By his admission, his four children are worth about 800 million naira in cash and his wife, Barrister Toyin Ojora Saraki (another perennial customer of the EFCC) is worth over 2 billion naira in assets, in a state where about 76% of children within school age are out of school, in a state where ‘tens’ of people get stampeded  in the house of the leader almost annually, in a state where teachers in almost all the schools have since downed tools as their salaries have not been paid in months and some over a year, a state where some Lecturers in tertiary institutions and top civil servants now engage in menial jobs like ‘’brick-laying’’ in a bid to keep body and soul together.

Correspondingly, the Sarakis’ of this nation have effectively used this ill- gotten economic power to frustrate every judicial process aimed at making them account for their sins and crimes against our people.

Saraki emerged Senate President on the 9th day of June, 2015 by a means unprecedented in our clime. I blame the leadership of the ruling party and most especially President Muhammadu Buhari for handling the matter with levity. Saraki as we know him symbolizes everything terribly ill with Nigerian politics. Arrogant, puffy, brutally heartless, insensitive, cold and intrinsically corrupt.

Safe for the very few who feed from the crumbs falling off the emperor’s table Shouts of ‘’bondage’’, ‘’slavery’’ pervades the air in Kwara state today.

President Buhari must realize that there is no ‘’de-shitting a hairy baboon that wittingly fell in a suck- away in the desert’’. The anti- corruption crusade can never be truly fruitful until ‘’leprosic’’ elements like Bukola Saraki- the poster boy of Genetic corruption in Nigeria are sent to where they truly belong; the penal complex. Kwarans are crying for justice and Emancipation from this corruption Enterprise the Sarakites’ are.
