10 Pro-Biafra Protesters Arraigned In Rivers State

According to a press release provided to SaharaReporters by the Rivers State police, 10 pro-Biafra protesters have been arraigned today.

The protesters were arrested on Monday after an attempt to infiltrate Port Harcourt from neighboring States.

It will be recalled that last week, pro-Biafra demonstrations turned violent as protesters clashed with the security services in Anambra State.

The 10 individuals were charged with two counts of criminal conspiracy and treasonable felony.

They were arraigned before Magistrates Courts 7 and 4 in Port Harcourt. The accused are The suspects are Onu Ifeanyi, Prinace Onwazor, Princewill Anyanywu, Sunday Egbim ‘M’. Uzoma Onyegbu, Chigozie Moses, Chukwudi Enyidau, Anthony Ochuel, Enam David Okon, and Friady Nwahiri.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Rivers State Command, Ahmad K Muhammad, concluded the press release by emphasizing that the police would not allow person or group of persons to violate the laws of the country.
