Vice Chancellor Of Federal University Otuoke Held Hostage By Workers

On Tuesday, activities of the Federal University, Otuoke at the hometown of former President Goodluck Jonathan in Bayelsa state was paralyzed as workers of both Academic and senior non-academic staff reportedly staged a protest over non - the inauguration of their union bodies as applicable in other universities in Nigeria.

The workers barricaded university gates and the office of the Vice Chancellor (VC) of the  University, Professor Mobolaji Aluko, and held him hostage.

Professor Aluko is due to vacate position as VC end of February. He remains inside his office yet to address the workers at the press time.
