Borno State Governor Kashim Shettima made this appeal during an unscheduled visit to Auno Central Primary School and Junior Day Secondary School in Konduga Local Government Area (LGA) of Borno State on Tuesday.

The Governor stressed that no meaningful development could be achieved without education. He stated that in order to entice families to send their children to school, the State promised to provide one meal per day to attendees.

“It is only education that will give you equal opportunity to contribute for the development of your communities, State, and the nation at large. I urge parents and guardians to send their wards to school," Governor Shettima said.

He directed and emphasized that all school-aged pupils be enrolled and that parents should know is their responsibilities to send their wards to school.

The Headmaster of the school Mallam Muktar Abatcha and the Junior Secondary School Principal Haija Aishetu Maigari reconfirmed the Governor of their commitment to educate the children under their stewardship.
