1.         A vote of confidence was passed on the leadership of EMEGG and NSCIA for the un-relentless effort in pursuance of Edo Muslims political freedom.

2.         EMEGG was encouraged by the Edo Muslim Ummah to continue mobilization in ensuring that the political marginalization of the Muslims has an end, come September 10th, 2016. All Muslims in the state were called to unite in this struggle and that continuous massive sensitization among Muslim groups should be enhanced.

3.         The Muslim Ummah also resolved to watch with keen interest the primaries of all the political parties in the state for 2016, Edo State gubernatorial race, as it relates to the Muslims interest for fair representation.

4.         We re-affirmed our commitment to mobilize the 40% Muslims population in the state to vote for any political party that is ready to see Muslims as stake holders in the affairs of the state in that:

i.          The political party should be willing to run a joint Christian/Muslim Governorship ticket, effect from the 2016 Edo Gubernatorial Election.

ii.         40% appointments for the Muslims in the state (Commissioners, Boards, etc).

iii.        Employ Islamic Religious Studies (IRS) Teachers to teach the Muslim students in public schools

5.         EMEGG also once again makes it clear that we are not being sponsored by any political party(ies) or an individual and that the Edo Muslims' agitation do not have any tribal connotation. Hence, we urge those in authority, the political parties and any individuals to respect the Edo Muslims' right for self actualization and realization, as the struggle for the political freedom of the Edo Muslims is not negotiable.

6.         We call on all the Edo Muslims home and abroad to ensure they are registered and keep their PVC safe in order to vote massively for any party that sees us as partners in progress in this coming Edo Gubernatorial Election scheduled for September 10, 2016.

7.         Monthly special congregation prayers (Al-Qunut, Tahajud and Qur'an recitation)    has been fixed to seek Allah's divine intervention on this struggle for political freedom and to also commit the affairs of whoever is working against the success of this struggle in the hands of Allah.

8.         As we continue to condemn the political marginalization of the Edo Muslims by the present Edo State government under the watch of Comrade Eric Adams Oshiomhole, we however on behalf of the entire Edo Muslims commend his giant stride in building additional State University to generate admission for students and employment for the Edo people and the nation at large. We commend this effort, other human oriented projects such as the Central Hospital, Benin which he had put in place for the Edo people. We pray Allah to bless the state with enough resources to sustain this institution.

9.         As the Edo Muslims resolved to take our destiny in our own hands by mobilizing for any political party that will see us as stake holders in progress in the affairs of the state, we have equally resolved to do this peacefully, preach love and friendship among all Edo people and Nigeria in general.

All we ask for is FAIR REPRESENTATION (IN ALLAH WE TRUST)
