SaharaReporters has learned that Cyril Dum Nwite has been arrested while in the possession of fake police and military uniforms, and at least N3 million in cash, near the Independent National Election Commission (INEC) office in Bori. Mr. Nwite is one of Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike’s top aides and is the Special Assistant for Special Projects for the governor.
Sources disclosed to SaharaReporters yesterday that there has been a significant movement of weapons and uniforms into Rivers State ahead of today’s polls.
Sources at the scene provided SaharaReporters photos of Mr. Nwite and his associates, as well as photos of some of them in military uniforms. In addition to these images SaharaReporters has also obtained a video depicting Mr. Nwite in custody.
