A NON PARTISAN EXPRESSION OF A CONSIDERED OPINION ON THE CURRENT STATE OF AFFAIRS IN NIGERIA
Yes the Nigerians indeed needed a change hence their pattern of voting in the previous presidential election by voting out the PDP/JONATHAN led administration and the emergence of the present APC/BUHARI led government, But what Nigerians failed to know is what sort of change was actually needed – was it a change from a 1year bad government or a change from a 16year bad government, were Nigerians sure of what change they needed they wouldn’t have expected an overnight miracle of change from the APC/Buhari led administration as they are presently yearning for, because what we are unconsciously expecting from this government is a recovery from a whole 16year of bad government, and Nigeria in this circumstance is just a person a trapped in a mud struggling to free itself, and such freeing of self does not happen in a jiffy. Even when such a person frees itself he is faced with several daunting task before he could be clean and ready to move forward. On coming out of the mud he will first stand straight, hives a sigh of relief, look at self, cleans self up, changes his cloths that’s if he already has befitting ones, otherwise he will first search and procure new ones, re-dresses himself, recovers from impoverish and impecunious state before even taking the ever step forward, and that is exactly the situation of Nigeria presently, if anyone thinks otherwise or contemplates/wishes having the immediate past administration instead of the present s/he should ask himself if one ever leaves for another place if s/he was comfortable where s/he was before. If Nigerians are now saying that they prefer the immediate past administration to this they should ask themselves why in the first place did they vote that same government out in the first place if it were a option this one, and since they followed that pattern of voting there is no gain saying the fact that they needed a change. And change does and never comes over night nor without sacrifice. The Buhari led government is not dragging its feet, disoriented, confused, or daunted as it is being suggested in some quarters rather it’s just gathering momentum just like a jet preparing to take-off, and when it does take-off it’s just going to ok and fine. WATCH OUT FOR THE FOLLOW UP – in the present Nigeria there are no players and spectators rather only players and everyone is a player
