Crisis Hits CAN Over Oritsejafor's Plan To Rig Election For Preferred Candidate

Mr. Oritsejafor and his henchmen have been engaging in maneuvering age-old electoral traditions of the CAN, according to our correspondent.

It was further gathered that he has plotted to undermine the electoral college by way of inviting an additional 32 church leaders with whom he will hold a strategic meeting on Friday morning in Abuja.

Mr. Oritsejafor fears that his successor may probe him and expose acts of corruption in the association under his watch.

A prominent Christian leader in Nigeria who spoke on the condition of anonymity said that men and women of conscience will fight Mr. Oritsejafor and his men to the end, ensuring that the leadership is decided by a fair, democratic process.
