Mr. Jinjiri said the police have arrested one Bashir Yusif Birnin Kudu in connection with the death.
The Jigawa State Police Command has confirmed the death of 22-year-old Ismaila Isyaku during the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rally in Dutse.

Police spokesman Abdu Jinjiri confirmed this on Tuesday in Dutse, stating that the deceased was found in a pool of blood in Yan Tifa, Dutse and was rushed to Dutse General Hospital where he died. Police believe the victim was stabbed by a dagger.
Mr. Jinjiri said the police have arrested one Bashir Yusif Birnin Kudu in connection with the death.
The police have commenced an investigation over the killing.
