PDP National Publicity Secretary Olisah Metuh In PDP Hall Accident, Rushed To Hospital

The National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr. Olisa Metuh, on Tuesday, suffered an accident at the party's National Working Committee (NWC) hall in Abuja and was taken to the hospital.

Metuh was about sitting beside the National Woman Leader, Dr. Kema Chikwe when his chair slipped, and he fell on the tiled floor.

The National Chairman of the party, Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff, and some members of the NWC watched as Metuh was lifted off the floor by security men and some aides.

Metuh was about to take his seat before the inauguration of the caretaker committee of the party for Kebbi and Borno States by the chairman.

As Metuh’s aides struggled to lift him up, Sheriff and other members of the NWC remained in their seats, laughing, without knowing the degree of the accident.

Some of the security men in the hall prevented journalists from taking any pictures of Metuh while on the floor.

Metuh, who is being prosecuted for corruption and money laundering, was later taken/rushed to the national hospital.  The extent of his injuries was not clear.

After he had been taken out of the hall without any of the NWC members accompanying him, Sheriff went on to inaugurate the two committees.

Other NWC members inside the hall included the National Secretary, Wale Oladipo; National Treasurer, Bala Buhari; National Legal Adviser, Victor Kwon and Chikwe.
