The body of a female preacher, Eunice Olawale, who was murdered by Islamic fanatics  in Kubwa, a suburb of Abuja, will be buried on Saturday, July 23rd at Gudu Cemetery in Abuja.

A press release by the Federal Capital Territory Province 2 of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) said that a service of songs for the deceased pastor will take place at RCCG's New Life Assembly Phase 3 Junction FHA, Kubwa at 5:00 pm on Friday, July 22nd.

The release, signed by Pastor Sam Olusola Adeyemi, disclosed that the funeral service will take place at the same venue on Saturday, July 23rd at 12.00 pm. The burial of Ms. Olawale will follow immediately at APO Cemetery in  Gudu Garki.

Islamic fanatics ambushed the female preacher on Saturday, July 9, as she returned to her home after an early morning evangelization. The armed assailants stabbed the preacher several times, killing her on the spot.

The gruesome murder has generated widespread condemnation from Nigerian Christians, along with demands that the homicidal gang that killed the preacher be arrested and tried.

Some Christian leaders have criticized President Muhammadu Buhari for remaining silent on the murder of Ms. Olawale as well as other recent attacks on Christians and churches.
