Nigerian Troops Kill Boko Haram Insurgents In Pulka

Nigerian troops, on Friday,  ambushed and killed fleeing Boko Haram terrorists in Pulka, Bornu State. This was disclosed in a press statement signed by Colonel Sani Kusheka Usman, acting Director, Army Public Relations. According to the statement, two terrorists were killed by troops in blocking positions, while one escaped with gunshot wounds.

The troops also recovered various weapons and other items from the insurgents. These  included one  AK-47 rifle (registration number S 77411), a General Purpose Machine Gun ( registration number FN 131908),  one motorcycle, one bicycle and five Fabrique Nationale (FN) rifle magazines.

Other items recovered from the terrorists were one AK-47 rifle magazine loaded with 28 rounds of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition, 67 rounds of 7.62mm linked (NATO) ammunition, a Tecno mobile telephone handset with NEXTTEL SIM card, and sacks of foodstuff.

Usman added that the  troops have continued their routine operation of maintaining vigilance in order to stop Boko Haram terrorists from fleeing the  Sambisa forest through that axis.
