Unknown gunmen kidnapped Chief W.G Watson Iti, the father of the lawmaker representing Brass Constituency 2 in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Alfred Belimote Watson.
It was gathered that the old man was whisked away at about 9 AM on Saturday while on his way to Egweama from Okpoama in Brass Local Government Area of the State.
SaharaReporters learnt he was on his way to bury his late wife, Mrs Comfort Watson, when the gunmen attacked his speed boat and whisked him to an unknown destination.
Confirming the incident, the Member Representing Brass Constituency 2 in the State House of Assembly, Alfred Belimote Watson, says the kidnappers were yet to make any contact with the family members.
