Okagbare Fails To Qualify For 100m Finals, Cruises Into 200m Semis

Ms. Okagbare finished third in the semi-finals of the 100m race with a time of 11.09s, dashing her hopes of advancing to the finals.

Nigeria’s Blessing Okagbare failed to qualify for the 100m women’s finals, but will be going on to the 200m semi-finals this evening in the ongoing Rio 2016 Olympics.

Ms. Okagbare finished third in the semi-finals of the 100m race with a time of 11.09s, dashing her hopes of advancing to the finals.

She secured a spot in the 200m semis through automatic qualification as she finished first, clocking 22.71s ahead of Great Britain’s Asher-Smith who finished in the second position with 22.77s.
