My Candidature And Popularity Is A Big Threat To APC, PDP In Ondo State, Says Olusola Oke

October 25, 2016

Mr. Oke, who dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the AD, also disclosed that his candidacy was becoming a “big and great threat” to the other candidates of the participating political parties in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the State.

Olusola Oke, governorship candidate of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) in Ondo State, has declared that his rising popularity would lead him to victory in the November 26, 2016 governorship election.

Mr. Oke, who stated this on Monday in Bolorunduro, headquarters of Ondo East Local Government Area of the State, during the flag-off of his campaign tour, added that he is prepared for the governorship battle as the election draws nearer.

He claimed that he joined the AD to purse his dream to become the next governor of the State after a wide consultation with his supporters, noting that no amount of political intimidation could stop him from campaigning ahead of the poll.

Mr. Oke, who dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the AD, also disclosed that his candidacy was becoming a “big and great threat” to the other candidates of the participating political parties in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the State.

“My popularity is now rising every day among the gladiators for this governorship election, and we shall win big by the grace of God and with the support of the people you saw here today.

“Even my candidacy is now a big threat to both members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who are participating in the poll, but we shall re-strategize more on our campaigns,” he told journalists during the campaign.

The AD flag-bearer further affirmed that the party is unbeatable in the race to the Alagbaka Government House of Akure in the November 26th governorship election.

He begged the thousands of supporters that attended the campaign to vote for the Alliance for Democracy, noting that it was high time the electorates reject moneybag politicians who are in the race to siphon the common wealth and collective resources of the State.

A SaharaReporters correspondent reported that Mr. Oke had earlier visited the hometown of the embattled Governor Olusegun Mimiko close to Epe in Ondo East, where he expressed sadness over the deplorable road network in the local community.

He specifically lambasted Mr. Mimiko for abandoning his father’s village and the people in the area despite the rich agricultural potential deposited in the local community.

The AD flag-bearer told the regent of the local community, Chief Raphael Olabanji, that he would construct a road network if he emerged as the next governor of the State after the election.

Bola Ilori, the Director of the Campaign of Mr. Olusola Oke, said all pending issues threatening the candidature of the party’s governorship candidate have been resolved amicably.

“We are now awaiting INEC to post the name of Mr. Oke as the governorship candidate of the AD for the governorship election,” he told journalists.
