At least four persons have been killed and several injured when a car bomb exploded near a military check point along Gubio highway in northern Borno on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred at about 10:30 am.
Borno Command, DSP Victor Isuku confirmed the incident via an electronic message sent to Borno police platform on WhatsApp.
"There was an explosion today along Gubio Road just before the military check point. According to a preliminary report, a pick up van with 9 persons onboard, emerged from a bush path to join the road to Rubio town when it exploded killing all the persons onboard.
