7 Killed, 8 Injured In Maiduguri Suicide Bomb Attacks

A woman, her two children and four other persons, including member of the Civilian Joint Task Force were, on Saturday night,  killed in suicide bomb attacks in Maiduguri. Eight other persons were also injured. Local sources told SaharaReporters that the attacks, which were carried out by three suicide bombers, including a male, occurred when the bombers attempted to infiltrate Maiduguri  through Umarari village in Molai General Area. They were seen by by Civilian Joint Task Force personnel, who challenged them, forcing them to flee in different directions. They detonated explosives strapped to their bodies as they fled. The eight persons injured in the attacks were said to be receiving treatment in a local hospital.
