JAMB Cancels LAUTECH Center As Students Move To Ilorin

A JAMB official disclosed that candidates who were posted to the LAUTECH center for examination have been moved to the University of Ilorin to take their exams.

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has canceled testing at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) computer-based test center as a result of a protest held by students of the university, restricting unified tertiary matriculation examination (UTME) candidates from taking exams on Monday, May 15.

A JAMB official disclosed that candidates who were posted to the LAUTECH center for examination have been moved to the University of Ilorin to take their exams.

“Candidates have been moved to the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) center to write their exams. They will have to reprint their examination slips later for them to know when they will be writing their examination,” he said.

Sanctioning the report, the JAMB Oyo State Zonal Office said that the LAUTECH center has been canceled and examinations will not take place there this year.

“LAUTECH center has been canceled and candidates were moved to UNILORIN center. UTME will no longer take place there this year and students will be informed and directed of when to reprint their slips for them to know when they will write their examinations,” the official confirmed.
