The rapper's representatives confirmed that Lil Wayne was hospitalized again following his continued struggle with epilepsy.
Doctors advised the rapper to stay hospitalized for a few days, especially due to the fact that he is prone to suffering seizures mid-flight. As a result, Lil Wayne's Las Vegas gig at Las Vegas' Drai's Nightclub had to be canceled.
The nightclub issued a statement on Sunday saying:
"Due to unforeseen circumstances, Lil Wayne will be canceling his previously scheduled performance,"
"Our priority is the health and well-being of our artists. Everyone at Drai's wishes Lil Wayne a speedy recovery during this time."
In June 2016, Wayne's private jet made an emergency landing in Omaha, Nebraska after the rapper had a seizure during a Milwaukee-to-California flight, where he had to spend the night in the hospital.
"I'm prone to seizures," Wayne said in 2012, after he suffered a seizure aboard another private jet flight, which forced an emergency landing where he was hospitalized in Texas.
"This isn't my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh seizure. I've had a bunch of seizures, y'all just never hear about them," he said.
