United States' Secretary of State, Mr. Rex Tillerson arrived in Abuja on Monday afternoon for a brief visit to Nigeria. Tillerson arrived in Abuja at about 3 p.m local time and was received by the permanent secretary of Nigeria's ministry of foreign affairs, Ambassador Olukunle Bamgbose at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
Tillerson would be spending few hours in Abuja as contrary to an earlier report that he has totally canceled his trip to the country.
He is expected to meet President Muhammadu Buhari later today and addressed a press conference alongside Nigeria's minister of foreign affairs.
Tillerson would be leaving the country to arrive Washington late Tuesday night to attend to an urgent duty.
