The Kano State Hisbah Board said it received 50 cases bordering on prostitution and missing children in the last three weeks.

The board Public Relations Officer, Mallam Umar Yahaya made this known to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Kano.

Yahaya said that out of the number of cases, 36 were on prostitution, 12 on missing street urchins who were repatriated back to their states and two cases on missing items.

The public relations officer said the board was committed to its mandate of ridding the society of social ills, adding that efforts would be intensified to restore moral sanity in the state.

He said the board also received N2.5 million for the upkeep of breastfeeding mothers who had problems with their husbands.

Yahaya urged members of the public to support the efforts of the board at ensuring a better society.
