Adeboye Warns FG: If Killings Don't Stop, 2019 Elections May Not Hold

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has warned the Federal Government that if Nigeria must survive, the killings around the country must stop.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has warned the Federal Government that if Nigeria must survive, the killings around the country must stop.

He sounded the alarm that unless the ongoing spates of killings are stopped by the authorities, the elections may not even hold.

The revered leader of one of the biggest religious groups in the world gave the warning on Friday at the church’s monthly Holy Ghost Service at the Redemption Camp.

The May edition of HGS was themed, Greater Than Your Enemies. It started midnight of Friday, May 4, and ended in the early hours of Saturday, May 5, 2018.

Adeboye called on the congregation to join him in praying for the country to be rid of the onslaught of killings of hundreds of Nigerians in recent times.

The RCCG General Overseer added that a bishop had asked him to reveal the identity of who would win the 2019 presidential election, but that he replied, instead, that unless the killings stop, the 2019 elections may not even hold because people would be too scared to go out to vote.

He, however, explained that the comment about the threat to elections was his personal opinion, never to be misconstrued as a prophecy.
