There Is Need For FG To Tender Unreserved Apology To Ken Saror Wiwa And Others - Shehu Sani

Lawmaker and senator representing Kaduna Central senatorial district has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to tender an unreserved apology to the families of Late Gen. Shehu Musa Yar’ adua, Dr Bello Kuti Chima Ubani,Ken Saror Wiwa and his Ogoni Kinsmen. 

The senator made this call on Thursday in a tweet through his official twitter handle @ShehuSani.

The tweet read: There’s need for the FG to tender an unreserved apology to the families of Ken Saror Wiwa and his Ogoni Kinsmen and honour the 9 and the 4 Ogonis with national honours. 

"Same should be done to late Gen Shehu Musa Yar’adua.Dr Beko Kuti & Chima Ubani must also not be forgotten".

It will be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari had on June 12 tendered while conferring the award of GCFR to the late MKO abiola and GCON to his vice Babagana Ibe, tendered  a national apology to the family of Late MKO Abiola, who was reported to have scooped  the highest vote in the annulled 1993 general election.

The president also tendered apologies to those that lost their loved ones during the 1992 election.

Also in a bid to honor the winner of the annulled June 12 election, President Muhammadu Buhari had moved the democracy day celebration from May 29 to June 12.
