Bayelsa APC: By Joining CUPP, NCP Has Killed Gani Fawehinmi A Second Time

“The formations that took the National Conscience Party (NCP) to that coalition have killed the great Gani Fawehinmi a second time. Similarly, those who enrolled the Democratic Alternative (DA) to that arrangement have killed the revolutionary Chima Ubani a second time."

The Bayelsa State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has described the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) as the worst act of political chicanery created to return the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to government at the centre.

Doifie Ola, spokesman of the party in the state, said the by joining CUPP, the National Conscience Party (NCP) had killed the good conscience of Gani Fawehinmi the second time. He said the late actvist fought for justice and equity, much unlike the current formation.

“The formations that took the National Conscience Party (NCP) to that coalition have killed the great Gani Fawehinmi a second time. Similarly, those who enrolled the Democratic Alternative (DA) to that arrangement have killed the revolutionary Chima Ubani a second time," Ola said.

“In 2015, the option for me was between Buharism or barbarism. True, we expected PMB to do better than what we’re witnessing today. But then, this 'third force' of the PDP, OBJ and Mr SAP (aka Olu Falae) represents no alternative. It gives our people no hope. Despite its many challenges, on the All Progressives Congress (APC) I stand."

About 32 parties signed an accord on Monday in Abuja a move to topple the ruling part and capture power at the centre.
