According to the Project Director of CYIAC, Foluke Michael, the CYIAC campaign focuses on corruption; which is the biggest impediments to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). CYIAC provides youth with capabilities they require to become economically productive, develop sustainable livelihoods, contribute to peace, justice and strong institutions. This enables them to take bold steps in creating the corrupt-free future they desire through creative thinking and innovation.

She further stated that CYIAC emerged as United Nations SDG Award Winner in Innovator category at the first-ever United Nations SDG Action Awards in recognition of the most outstanding efforts to inspire action on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Global Festival of Action for Sustainable Development organised by UN SDG Action Campaign was held in Bonn, Germany in March 2018.
