Oyo State Government has demolished a section of Yinka Ayefele's Music House.

The building, valued at N800 million, also houses a radio station, Fresh FM.

Workers in the Music House confirmed to SaharaReporters that the State Government moved into the building to demolish it around 4 a.m. on Sunday Morning.

The fence and a part of the building was demolished.

The state government had claimed that the musician did not obtain the necessary approval for the building. It also claimed that the building has been responsible for not less than nine accidents in the state capital.

However, Yinka Ayefele debunked the claim of the government, stating that the demolition is politically motivated, as it got approval from the government and has been paying necessary taxes and levies to the state government.

Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, had, in 2016, when he visited the station, revealed that some people within his cabinet had been mounting pressure on him to demolish Fresh FM's building, with claims that the management did not support his administration.[slideshow]62126[/slideshow]
