'In The Spirit Of Building Bridges' — Orji Uzor Kalu Becomes Dan Baiwan Hausa Of Daura

Orji Uzor Kalu, former Governor of Abia State, has been officially turbanned as the Dan Baiwan Hausa of Daura.

The ceremony was conducted on Wednesday, by Alhaji Umar Faruk Umar, the Emir of Daura, at his palace, and featured the attendance of Simon Lalong, Governor of Plateau State, among other dignitaries.

Afterwards, Kalu paid a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari, in his hometown in Daura.

Also present at thhe President's residence were Ibikunle Amosun, Governor of Ogun State, Adebayo Shittu, Osita Ikechuckwu, among others.

Speaking on the significance of his turbanning, Kalu, in a tweet via @OUKtweets said the move was "in the spirit of building bridges across tribes in our dear country".
