Buhari, Osinbajo, Tinubu Present As APC National Executive Council Meets

The National Executive Committee of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is currently holding a crucial meeting to decide the stand of the party on major issues relating to the 2019 elections.

In attendance are: President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Bola Tinubu and other stakeholders of the party.

One of the top issues the committee will decide on is if the party will adopt direct primaries.

Reports have it that some governors and Senators have threatened to leave the party depending on the decision of the committee.

Some members of the party had earlier expressed reservations on the issue, asserting that powerful members of the party may influence the decision of the delegates.

Also on the agenda of the committee is taking a final decision on the provisional dates contained in an earlier correspondence to Independent National Electoral Commission.
