APC Presidential Aspirants To Pay N45m For Forms, Governorship N22.5m

The breakdown, according to a release signed by Emma Ibediro, APC National Organising Secretary, forms for those interested in contesting for the presidency cost N45 million in total, broken down as N40 million for nomination form and N5 million for expression of interest form.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its schedule of fees for expression-of-interest and nomination forms for the 2019 elections.

The breakdown, according to a release signed by Emma Ibediro, APC National Organising Secretary, forms for those interested in contesting for the presidency cost N45 million in total, broken down as N40 million for nomination form and N5 million for expression of interest form.

For governorship candidates, both forms cost N22.5 million in total, while for senatorial seats, it’s N7 million.

Politicians interested in contesting seats at the House of Representatives will be expected to pay N3.85 million, while State House of Assembly seats cost N850,000.

All forms are expected to be collected and submitted on or before Wednesday, September 12, 2018.

The APC schedule also noted that there would be no separate charge for deputy, just as female aspirants and physically challenged aspirants were given a 50 per cent reduction.

The selection of presidential candidate, which will take place by direct primary, is expected to hold on Thursday, September 20, 2018.
