'11 Killed, 20 Injured' As Gunmen Attack Cinema In Zamfara Village

Eleven people have been killed in Badarawa Village, Zamfara State, following an attack on a viewing centre on Wednesday.

According to witnesses and hospital sources, who spoke with BBC, more than 20 people were also injured in the attack.

Residents had gathered in the village hall to watch a film when the gunmen arrived on foot, opening fire on the building.

Many residents were said to have escaped with multiple gunshots and broken bones.

According to the hospital sources, some victims are in critical condition while those who lost lives in the incident have been buried.

The Police noted that security agents had been deployed to track down the attackers.
