Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has more or less confirmed his defection from the All Progressives Congress by personally submitting his election forms obtained from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He submitted the forms on Thurday.
There had been speculations on if Dogara had defected from the APC, even after the nomination and expression of interest forms were obtained from the PDP secretariat on his behalf.

However, Dogara apparently cleared all doubts by submitting the forms by himself at the PDP national secretariat.
A tweet via his handle read: "Earlier today, I was at the @OfficialPDPNig national secretariat to submit my nomination and expression of interest forms."
