Iyaloja General of Nigeria, Mrs. Folashade Tinubu-Ojo on Monday made a u-turn and denied ever endorsing Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu to emerge as the governorship candidate of the party in 2019.

Last Friday, a picture went viral showing Tinubu-Ojo raising the hand of Sanwo-Olu which the campaign organisation of the latter had sent out with the caption that she had endorsed him and had pledged to mobilise market men and women to vote for him.

But in a popular radio programme monitored by our correspondent, Tinubu-Ojo, who happens to be the daughter of the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu said she did not endorse him.

According to the report, Sanwo-Olu only came to seek her blessings on his ambition, but she told him point blank that it was not right for her to endorse him.

However, what she was oblivious about was that his campaign team had taken a picture of her raising the hand of Sanwo-Olu and circulated in the media, a development it was learnt, didn’t go down well with her.
