Ayotomide Grace Labinjo, mother of five-year-old AnuOluwapo, said to be the love child of Nigerian Singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has restated that her child's father is the music artiste.

This is not the first time Ayotomide is calling out the singer to take responsibility for her child.

A press conference was organised on Friday by Kemi Omololu Olunloyo, who said she was acting as the "publicist and spokesperson" for the Labinjo family.

Speaking at the event, Mrs. Ropo Labinjo, the child's grandmother, claims that the result of an earlier paternity test was flawed.

Addressing the conference, Kemi said: “This girl on my laps is Mitchelle Anuoluwapo Adeleke, is the daughter and I believe is the first daughter of David Adeleke (Davido), the world famous music artiste. The little girl is going to be five years old next week, on the 19th of November. The issue at hand is who is her father?

“I'm a mother myself to three young men. A lot of us seem to not take these issues seriously. When it comes to paternity, we always stigmatise the women involved, that they are one-night stand sand that they are useless women."

Davido had conducted a paternity test in 2017 and declared the result negative.

However, at the media briefing on Friday, Ayotomide narrated again how the child cameto be.

She said: “After the club, we still met and we started a great relationship. I called him immediately and he told me he was going to get back to me. For like a few months, he blocked me. I could not get through to him. It wasn't until the eighth month he added me up again. He added me up on her naming ceremony and that was all.”

Mrs Ropo Labinjo accused Davido of stalking her and urged him to “please come out for a clean paternity test”.

Olunloyo continued: “This young lady here Ayotomide met Davido at a club in Ibadan where she worked and the rest is history. Ever since the baby was born, there has been issues and stories about 'it's not my daughter'. Davido has consistently denied paternity and the family had resorted to paternity test and DNA test and they had one. The grandmother of this young lady, Mrs Ropo Labinjo said the DNA test was flawed.

“She has reached out to the Adelekes; she has reached out to different people in the family from Deji Adeleke, Davido’s father to his uncle even to the King of where they are from, the Timi of Ede in Osogbo, Osun State.

“A lot of people will say 'why are you taking this to the media?'. Sometimes, you have to speak out. This kind of thing doesn't happen in Nigeria, where a family will sit in front of the media and even as much I'm doing public relations. I have had to be a spokesman for families in front of the media, to talk about paternity case. For this young lady to come out is bravery as far as am concerned."

The child at the centre of the controversy also had something to say.

She said: “I miss my Dad. I want to see him. I want him to give me big money.”

When asked what she wants to use the money for she replied: “For my mother, for my grandma, for my school, for everything".
