Gunmen kidnap Two Bowen University Workers

An eye-witness who managed to escape narrated the incident. He said they were stopped by armed men and marched into the bush.

Gunmen have kidnapped two workers of Bowen University on Monday evening.

The victims, who are yet to be identified, were said to have been kidnapped at Ile-Ogbo junction along Iwo-Osogbo Road.

An eye-witness who managed to escape narrated the incident. He said they were stopped by armed men and marched into the bush.

He managed to escape, but was shot in the leg by the kidnappers and is currently being treated at an undisclosed hospital in the state.

Confirming the kidnap to The Nation newspaper, Folashade Odoro, spokesperson of the Osun State Police Command, stated that the Police is combing the bush to rescue the victims and apprehend the kidnappers.

“Yes, two people were kidnapped, and our men are already in the bush trying to rescue the victims and apprehend the abductors,” she said.
