After Five Weeks, Abducted Edo APC Candidate Regains Freedom

Ohio-Ezomo was said to have been abducted by suspected gunmen at his residence in Sabonginda Ora on January 23, 2019.

Mike Ohio-Ezomo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Owan West Constituency in Edo State, has been released 38 days after he was abducted.

Family sources said he was released on Saturday night to his family at a village near Owo in Ondo State, after the payment of an undisclosed ransom.

Ohio-Ezomo was said to have been abducted by suspected gunmen at his residence in Sabonginda Ora on January 23, 2019.

One of his orderlies was also killed during the attack.
