However, while students began to gather in the hall where the meeting was to hold the Hall Warden and Porter of Fajuyi hall began to walk around in the hall to search for union members.
Some students of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun state are currently been held in detention by the school’s security.
Information reaching Sahara Reporters has it that students of the school both on and off campus are having fears for their life as five robbery has occurred in the space of two days.
The robberies which took place at Oduduwa Estate, White house and a house close to Poplat were all robbed and one student was said to have sustained injuries.
It was for this reason the Student Union Action Committee decided to call a meeting for students in order to see ways the insecurity challenge could be solved.

Speaking with Sahara Reporters, Comrade Stephen, a member of OAU Take It Back Chapter said “Two days ago there was five robbery in statetlie and freshers staying off Campus at the same time. I think one at oduduwa estate one in white house one near Poplat. I think a student sustained injury,”
“Therefore yesterday the Student Union Action Committee announced that they going to hold a meeting at Fajuyi hall by 4pm. So as at today 4pm, I was the first person that entered I had earlier informed the Hall warden that we are going to hold a meeting.
“I was the only person inside the hall although i sneaked in because I know that the porter and the warden were already inside the hall trying to identify union members. 10 minutes later i saw that the person that was suppose to lead the meeting in person of Hon IBK and Comrade Olamarx were been prevented from entering the hall by the Porters.
“The next thing they did was to call the security and then begin to maltreat them. Juwon Owoeye Olaoluwa popularly known as Olamarx, Omole Ibukun popularly known as Hon. IBK, Olowolafe Samuel popularly known as Dunnex were arrested by the school security officials.”
