The suspects reportedly confessed to the crime during a police interrogation.
Ismail Abdulmumini, and Sani Haruna, 20-year-old, have been arrested by the Kastina State Police Command for raping their neighbour’s 10-year old daughter.
The alleged rapists would appear before Katsina Senior Magistrates’ Court, on July 8, 2019, to answer to charges of criminal conspiracy and rape levelled against them.
The police had charged the two men based on their alleged confession that they molested their neighbour’s 10-year-old daughter.
The accused persons were subsequently ordered to be remanded in the Katsina Prison custody.
According to the police, the father of the victim, Isah Abdullahi, reported the incident at the Dandume police station on May 17, 2019, a day after the suspects were said to have been caught molesting the victim.
It was alleged that the accused persons lured the victim into a nearby uncompleted building where she was sexually abused.

The police prosecutor, Sergeant Lawal Bello, said investigation into the case was in progress, leading the magistrate to adjourn the case until July 8, 2019.
