Police Release Hotlines for Emergencies During Eid-El-Kabir

The Command said it had also deployed 12,000 policemen to ensure a hitch-free celebration throughout the state.

The Nigeria Police Force has released some hotlines to be contacted for emergencies during the Eid-El-Kabir celebration.

In a statement on Saturday, the Lagos State Police Command said residents in the city can call the hotlines to report suspicious activities.

The Command said it had also deployed 12,000 policemen to ensure a hitch-free celebration throughout the state.

The statement read, “Lagos State Police Command wishes to felicitate with Muslim faithful on the Eid-El-Kabir celebrations.

“To ensure a hitch-free celebration, the Commissioner of Police, CP Zubairu Muazu, has directed the implementation of robust and elaborate security arrangement throughout the state by Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders and Divisional Police Officers.

“Intense surveillance/intelligence gathering will be maintained, special deployment and stop and search duties will be emplaced at all flash/vulnerable points. 

"The Command employs members of the public, most especially travellers and other roads users to cooperate with personnel deployed on stop and search duties.

“Members of the public are enjoined to be security conscious, vigilant and report any incident or happening observed in their locality to the nearest police station.
