Ekiti Cleric Stole Motorcycle -Police

The police in Ekiti State has arraigned a 32-year-old cleric, Opeyemi
Sunday, before an Ado-Ekiti magistrate's court for stealing a
motorcycle.

The police prosecutor, Caleb Leranmo, told the court Sunday stole a
Bajaj Boxer motorcycle belonging to one Yusuf Seyi, arguing that his
action contravened Section 390 of the Criminal Code, Cap C 16, Vol. 1,
Laws of Ekiti State, 2012.

Sunday, however, pleaded not guilty and his counsel, Timileyin
Omotosho, urged the court to grant him bail.

The magistrate, Ade Lawal, granted the accused bail of N50,000 with
two sureties depositing N50,000 each and adjourned the case until
September 11.
